I didn't know why or how I was supposed to do anything. I didn't know how to start building my motherfucking fleet. I didn't know where to send my scouts or how to use the information they gather. I tried again, destroyed the first few ships and. I finished them and tried the intermediate tutorial, the scripted one on the easiest setting. I'm talking about the very basic tutorials. It's really, really confusing when I jump in. I like the fact it seems more freeform than Starcraft. It may not sound like it from my post, but I really want to get to enjoy it. I bought this in the sale last year, and just got around to playing it today.
